When a cabinet register and the street disagree
The first mismatch is a moved cabinet. Street works around Hoan Kiem Lake often slide a box two metres along the kerb. The register still holds the old lamp-post number. We photograph both the new position and the faded stencil.
The second is a borrowed power feed. A cabinet that the register calls independent may be jumpered to a shop meter. That is a conversation with the shop owner, not a line in a spreadsheet you can close from the office.
The third is a cabinet that exists only on paper after a pavement rebuild. Hai Ba Trung has several of these after drainage upgrades. We mark them as absent, with the date we walked the block, rather than inventing a replacement ID.
Bring a printed extract of the register to the walk. Phones die; the extract can be marked with a pencil while a motorbike waits at the kerb.
